L'oven Pizza

They have a sign up that says"best pizza in town". Been here since 1989. 1. Alot of competition on this road. Marco's, Jets, Papa John's Hungry Howie's and a few others. 2. The cheese was decent. The sauce was a bit acidic tasting and not a traditional taste. The dough/ undercarriage was a bit boring. No crisp at all. I suspect that use a corn meal base on the bottom? 3. They say they cook the old fashion way in stone baked oven. Well in the past, I have reviewed others that did it the old fashion way, and I found that it isn't always a positive thing.

Alright Frankie...L’Oven Pizza. Love the name. Valentines weekend. Love is in the air... But don’t love the pizza. Dough is very thick and wasn’t cooked all the way. Not very much crunch to the crust. Will give some props, as they do give lots of cheese. Layering the pepperoni over the sauce and under the cheese did keep it from being very greasy. But that can’t save it from having no crunch and being undercooked. This one ended in heartbreak.

Solid pizza, nothing special. Like this place though.

They have all different style of pizza here so I figured I’d do my first Chicago style review. This is actually more like a stuffed pizza, it has an extra layer of dough to keep everything in. That being said it’s still a good pizza, very sweet sauce. Good pizza 6.7 and that’s a review
