Lucky Slice Pizza

Alright Franklyn, I’ve been intending on trying Lucky for a while now, and they certainly deliver. One of the few joints in the state that actually sells slices, this is one of the closest slices I’ve had to a New Yorker aside from Snow Mobile and Il Villagio; I’ve now found what i call the three amigos of good pizza in Utah. She’s a little floppy but has good crisp; she’s thin, and the marinara isn’t over powering but its presence is felt. Cheese is very good. She’d be in the 8s with a better under carriage profile, but let’s call a spade a spade, this score is based on a nationwide scale, but in terms of Utah pizza, she’s a 9.3. That’s a fucking review Franklyn!!!!

Crisp and everything is held together well

Given that it’s Ogden, very surprised that such a slice could exist in this Hellscape, Frankie! Nothing singular wowed, but every ingredient was above average which made it an excellent slice.

Best damn pizza south of the Bear River!

This could have been an eight, but they forgot to put the sauce on most of the pizza, huge bubbles! All three ingredients, taste great, but unfortunately it wasn’t prepared properly! And that’s Utah pizza!

As someone from the east coast, I am a pizza snob. Best NY style I’ve had west of the Mississippi River.

Not my usual slice but for artesian pizza this Margie is outstanding. Usually these slices score less than 7 for me but this slice easy over 8.

I must say, I was not expecting this. I spoke to some guy next to me who was a local and he said this was the best the Salt Lake City area has to offer. I had to confirm to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind. This cheese slice was worth the price of admission. Maybe worth the price of my flight to Utah. The flavor of the sauce and cheese really hit the bullseye 🎯.

People said grease I did not get greasy. This is very good basic pizza. Would have been a little higher if it was cooked just a little more. Good cheese, sauce and crust.

Greasiest pizza Ive ever had. The cheese one especially was dripping everywhere. The top of the crust was good though. If the grease didnt make the rest of the pizza a sloppy mess it wouldve been way better. Atleast they serve everyone, not just the cool people...lookin at you rovali's.

Easy bar style pizza lacking under carriage

Little greasy. Great cheese and sauce. Crust had little flop but crunchy and very tasty. Place gave me nostalgic 90's memories.

Burned my face off, but good! Good Ogden flop with a nice crisp crust after I let it cool down.

Solid slice

Nice crispy crust. Very minimal flop. Little bit of grease. Fresh herbs on time we’re nice touch. Sauce was average. I think that’s fair. Solid slice.

Pesto Pizza is Fire!

Greasy, dripping grease... Slight flop, nice tangy sauce, nearly no crisp.. and I got there right as they opened. 6.0... Disregard the specialty slice in the picture.
