I was watching them make it, seemed like it was on premade flatbread. Unique. Sauce has more of a vodka flair. The mozz is what made this pie. Stiff undercarriage for how much oil was weighing it down. Tasty, but messy

Large pepperoni pie. Been coming here for years since my grandpa (who has a glowing 8.7 from years ago on here) was a regular and introduced it to me. It is NOT your standard NY/Conn. thin slice “football” pizza that I typically prefer. Very thin crust with a more penne Ala vodka-style sauce and clumps of mozzarella cheese rather than your usual uniform coat. It’s not my usual style of slice, but it’s that damn good that it’s still by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ingredients are all fresh-made in house by the owner and his staff. The pepperoni pie was incredible and the mozzarella cheese is better than anything else I’ve had. Definitely give it a shot if you’re in the area and can make it during their short hours . Even if you don’t prefer the more rustic style typically, if you give this a shot and have it fresh out the oven, it will be one of the best slices you’ve ever had. I’ve been coming back for years and made it a treat I will go out of the way for for my family whenever I’m in the area. Nobile is a great guy and knows what he’s doing when he makes you a slice. 👍

Amazingly fresh ingredients from fire roasted tomatoes in the sauce to fresh mozzarella made in house and zesty extra virgin olive oil. Crisp crust. These women KNOW how to make amazing pizza. Best in the area hands down.

Stuck between an 8.4 and 8.5 here. Either way its amazing “pizza”. This is some real Ginny shit. They make their own mozzarella daily, and its delicious. The also make their own tomato sauce which looks to be kind of like a vodka sauce, kind of heavy on the basil but i like it. The dough is super thin with a good amount of crisp crackle and snap. I think the only thing it needs, is some funky cheese like parm reggiano or some garlic in the sauce, something to give it just a little more punch. It’s not bland, dont get me wrong, it’s fucking awesome and i almost cried, but a little more punch in this pie, and it’s a real high 8 for me. I loved it.

Since learning about Dave Portnoy & One Bite, I’ve tried to use Dave’s scale as accurately as possible (6’s are good, 7’s strong & solid, 8’s exceptional & 9’s almost non-existent). On this site, I don’t see any 8’s but Lucoli & I know exactly why. I only eat plain now, just like Dave. There are four things about Lucoli that stand out to me: 1. The crust is thin, light, crispy & delicious; 2. The sauce is superb, Nobile’s creation; 3. The mozzarella is so unique, hand made by Nobile & you won’t find anything like it or as good anywhere; & 4. The owner & staff are the nicest people you’ll ever come across in a business establishment. The highest I’ve rated on this site is a 6.8 for a very good solid top-notch pie. The pie here at Lucoli is head & shoulders above anything I’ve had, including all the supposed “experts” on Long Island & NYC. I live across the Hudson from this place but I’ve been back five times...it’s that good! My suggestion? Try this place just one time. I predict you’ll be back as a regular as well. Nobile’s also an oven-builder & his ovens tend to show up in the top spots in this industry.
