Pizza Review
It’s not often you see the words “pizza parlor” in the official title of a pizzeria; I think it adds a certain charm that makes the pizza more appealing. Unfortunately, this is mostly unappealing pizza. Super soft dough, incredibly garlicky and a sauce so acidic you’ll be visiting Heartburn City. The shame is, the sauce is actually fairly zesty & tasty, just way too acidic. The cheese is nicely melted with a good lava-like flow but it’s very basic. There’s no crisp on the dough, it’s slightly rubbery and only mildly crispy crust. This is Connecticut’s version of a NYC dollar slice and very similar to Panzone’s in LBI for my Jersey Shore people out there. While it’s a lower tier pizza, I didn’t hate this pie as much as I thought I would and the somewhat generous score reflects that.
