Luigi's Pizza

Great texture; cheese was sharp yet undistinguished; fresh, yet not overwhelmingly so.

Thin slice, a bit over cooked which killed the flavor.

Slices are fine but far under Dave’s score. Grandma’s wasn’t good.

Fantastic crisp, amazing cheese. Distinctive sauce. The best.

As good as advertised

Has two regular and one mozzarella slice the plain was better but both were thin but great flavor!!!

Place is as good as it gets I’ve had the regular also a 9.5 calzone 9.5 this is the fresh mozzarella pie absolutely amazing. Same crispy crust zero flop. Friendly inside the most energy the man gio actually makes the pies great stuff

In full transperacy I have eaten at Luigi’s more then any other pizzeria, the benefit of living down the street 37 years of my life and always knowing the Gio and his family are some of the best pizza makers around. Sadly, I don’t have the luxery of walking up the block to grab a slice and hang with Gio, discussing life The Mets or what’s going on in the neighborhood anymore. Visited recently, nothing changed and it was bit of childhood nostalgia for me. Pizza is always incredible, the Sicilian was even better then the regular slice, I ate it so fast forgot to snap a photo, Gio’s chicken rolls and calzones are phenomenal as well. If you are in area stop in grab a slice and experience a bit of old school Brooklyn both in the pizza and in the owner.

This is what it’s all about. Right here. Right now. I don’t go into the 9’s that often, don’t plan on it either but Luigi’s might be the best pizza in the world. The great Gio is one of a kind, you go in there Gio puts on a show. The Sicilian is the pie to get. Yes the round is great, and it’s old school. But the square is on a different level. My black friend Elroy said this “I wasn’t alive to see Beethoven orchestra a symphony. I wasn’t alive to see Elvis bring the house down. I wasn’t alive to see The Babe call his shot. But I got see Gio make a pizza” high compliment from Elroy who is a black man, and it was a good thing he wasn’t alive because they probably wouldn’t had let him sit at any of those events. Anyway 9.6 for the great Gio.

A pretty incredible NY slice. Nothing fancy. Slices were fresh out of the oven. Amazing sauce. Grandma pie was also outstanding.
