Fantastic pizza! Wonderful experience on a cold winter Friday night in Akron.

Great pizza employees are super nice. There is a lot of flop to the pizza. But overall great effort.

Top tier, soft dough, with good undercarriage and no flop. Fantastic cheese and sauce as well, crispy crust. All around just excellent pizza.

Probably the best known restaurant (let alone pizza place) in Akron, and it didn’t disappoint! The cheese was incredibly fresh and the crust was fantastic. It kinda reminded me of a Detroit style pizza because the crust looked thick, but it was super light and had an excellent buttery finish. My only knock on the pizza was the lack of sauce… I enjoyed the taste of it, but there was no where near enough. All in all it was a top notch Midwestern pizza!

Solid nothing fancy just good pie

Solid pie. If this was my neighborhood place, I’d be content. Nothing fancy…straight forward & good taste. Thick crust but didn’t feel heavy.

By definition, a score in the “8”’s means that the pizza is worth an out-of-the-way trip. Well, that holds true here. The tomato and cheese pizza mostly has a character all to itself - but, in the most over generalized way, has a flavor and texture reminiscent of a pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Go for the appreciation of a landmark pizza establishment of historical value, since 1949, and stay for both the tasty food and the quality throwback dining experience.

Great Pizza!

An Akron institution. Good pie. Nice crust, light and airy with some burnt ends. Good sauce, lots of delicious cheese. Not inexpensive at $15 for a “large” cheese. Will be back.

A thicker pizza which is normally not my style, but the ingredients taste fresh and has a surprising amount of crunch. Reminds me of Detroit style pizza.

Luigi’s famous pizzeria in Akron Ohio since 1949..one and only, pizza was delicious, doughy and slightly on the thicker side, but with that being said it was extremely light on my stomach and I ate and entire large by myself over the course of a few hours. Highly recommend. Oh, if they tell you 30-35, go in 20.

Never Disappoints. Always best when dining in. Great for lunch, too!
