Luigi's Restaurant and Pizza (Somerset)

Picked up the pie at 11ish this morning. Only me & Luigi were there. Place is old school. Handed me a heavy box. Ate first slice in the car. Cheese & oil dripping off the hot slice. It was ok. I lived in Mt Vernon for 15 years home of 9.1 Johnny’s(cash only closed Sundays & Monday) so I know good pizza. Not impressed with Jersey pies so far. Went to one place Dave liked & they were making pizza on a conveyor belt? Forgot the name already. That’s how memorable it was. I reviewed Luigi’s because he seems like a hard working old school guy

Completely lacking flavor. No flavor in the sauce. No flavor in the cheese. Crust had a good crunch. That was the only + It was a heavy pie and lots of grease. Glad I got this out of the way. Never going back. Yikes.

No Flop, Easy Flip. Decent amount of cheese along with a tangy sauce. The crust was not very crispy, but had good flavor. Not too thin and not too doughy.
