Pizza Review
TLDR: Clean. Inviting. Courteous service. Awesome lemonade. Average pizza. Visit: Weekday (dinner) Order: Sausage Pizza Overall Rating: 7.1 for atmosphere and experience...(“One Bite” Barstool Sports Score: 5.7) Great spot for a casual bite to eat. With personal pizzas starting at $9 and Large pizzas starting at $15, Luna Pizzeria is a decent place to try out. The overall layout is clean, modern, and inviting enough to serve as a either a night out with the family or a laid back date spot (they have a few card/board games to play while you wait on the center aisle). While the staff was courteous and my experience was ultimately positive, I have to be honest when I say that the pizza just isn’t my style. I’m sure some would disagree, but as a pizza guy, I much prefer the New York coal/wood fired style pizza that produces a thin, crispy crust. Had this been the case, I could see this being easily bumped to 4 stars or higher. The quality of the ingredients and toppings were great. However, their version consists of a hand tossed style dough that is light, airy, and definitely on the fluffy side. My particular pie, while aesthetically pleasing, had almost no crunch to the bottom crust (the outer ring was good in a breadstick kind of way). I precluded that had I gotten the large, this would likely be a floppy pizza, that at its core I view comparable to a Dominos hand tossed. To each their own, this just isn’t my cup of tea.
