Luna Woodfired Pizza

My god is this a sexy pie!!!! A little further north from mecca New Haven is Luna Wood Fired in Naugatuck but after one bite you’d think your on Wooster. The thin crust on this pie is intense, well done and charred sooo good with great texture on the undercarriage with a little bit of airyness, light slices. The sauce has that zing to it, very fresh and evenly distributed melding absolutely perfect to the cheese. As with so many of the places up in this area the cheese is special, different from anything near home and such a quality. The flavor is explosive, I think there’s some grated cheese dusted over the sauce as well adding to the flavorgasm with each bite. Ratio spot on and the flavor complex is damn near perfect, each ingredient compliments the other. Opened for about 3 years now Luna is run by one of three brothers, the other two responsible for Fuocco and Christo’s, so pizza is in the DNA here for sure. If you love NH style pizza this place is a must try and another perfect pizzadventure!!!
