Lynwood Cafe

Definitely a top contender in the SSBP game but I don’t think I put this as the number one or two spot like most people. Pizza was good, thin cracker like crust but the taste just wasn’t there for me. Great service and the atmosphere brings you back to when the place opened. Chas only, they have an ATM in a phone booth.

Cheese, Hamburg, and pepperoni all laced. Crust was ok. Cheese and sauce were excellent

Recommend getting the pizza “glazed” — creates a burnt edge on the crust. Peppers and onions perfectly done and bean special is 🔥🔥

Quintessential south shore bar pie. So…so…SO good. The vibe in this place is phenomenal. A must visit in the Boston area.

Let me explain it to you like this..idk about the whole Town Spa vs Lynwood business,, it’s not my place. But I can say it’s they’re both smackin’. Then you throw your Poopsies and your J’s Flying Pizza in the conversation and everything changes. Gotta do all the bar pies back to back it’s probably the only way. bomb pizza 🔥

Loved it. Order it crispy and it won’t disappoint. Lovely bar pie crust almost caramelized. No flop and quality cheese!

Already well documented, but a top contender in the south shore bar pizza space. Lacing on the edges is very nice here, would likely go crispy next time. A little greasy overall. Cheese mix works well. Great prices, cash only.

Listed as open till 11, but kitchen actually closes at 10. Got here at 10:05 and they were still cooking but refused to take an order or sell a slice. So yeah here is a photo of my empty stomach, one point for smelling good

I stopped at Lynwood in the middle of my south shore Pizza run, (which included most of the top bar pie spots). Let me begin by saying that I'm not a huge fan of bar pizza, and much prefer a thicker chewier crust with a good crisp on bottom. With that said, Lynwood is the king of the Boston bar pie spots. I went with a half cheese and half linguica as recommended by the waitress. The crust was chewy and extremely flavorful and the toppings were to die for! I've never had linguica, or even seen it on a menu before for that matter, but it's a game changer on this pie ! Make sure to order it "laced" like all the locals do, which is essentially ordering it well done. The interior is like a time capsule from the 1960's, and will put a smile on the face of any old timer! If I ever stop back I'll be sure to pick up the bean special, as it appeared to be the most popular choice by all the locals, I just couldn't bring myself to get it on my first try.
