Pizza Review
I stopped at Lynwood in the middle of my south shore Pizza run, (which included most of the top bar pie spots). Let me begin by saying that I'm not a huge fan of bar pizza, and much prefer a thicker chewier crust with a good crisp on bottom. With that said, Lynwood is the king of the Boston bar pie spots. I went with a half cheese and half linguica as recommended by the waitress. The crust was chewy and extremely flavorful and the toppings were to die for! I've never had linguica, or even seen it on a menu before for that matter, but it's a game changer on this pie ! Make sure to order it "laced" like all the locals do, which is essentially ordering it well done. The interior is like a time capsule from the 1960's, and will put a smile on the face of any old timer! If I ever stop back I'll be sure to pick up the bean special, as it appeared to be the most popular choice by all the locals, I just couldn't bring myself to get it on my first try.
