The battle of the boardwalk..great flavor only knock is the crust was doughy and chewy. Delivery played a factor, but Mack’s knocks off Sam’s.

Impressed honestly, I was expecting it to be a let down but it was actually really solid. Not as good as mancos though

Nostalgia tricked me here. Used to consider this as the goat place as a kid and growing up but latest experience let me down. Super grease and not enough sauce to cheese ratio. A mild let down but still decent.

While greasy still one of the better options you can get in wildwood. I enjoyed it immensely.

Let me start off by saying they didn’t toss my slice in the oven for a quick warm up and extra crispness, so it was very limp and soft which I like my pizzas to be hard erect and crispy. But I digress. The sauce was alright nothing that blew me away but solid none the less. Cheese was average but not bad. I give this a solid 7.2

Not worth all the hype, Still a great pie, despite the grease.

For some reason, this Mack’s Pizza at 4200 Boardwalk has way more reviews and higher scores than the original Mack’s located at 3218 Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, which I reviewed previously. Nonetheless, it’s virtually the same slightly above average pizza. The only difference between the pies I ordered was this one had a bit more grease gushing with every bite. Other than that, same thin, floppy, soft, somewhat soggy dough. Same cheese blend that tastes like mozzarella mixed with cheddar. And same tangy, bitter, oregano-flavored sauce that lacks sweetness. Both locations are packed in the summer all hours of the day. Can’t call in an order, so be prepared to wait a minimum of 20 minutes on most days. Decent pizza for the Jersey Shore boardwalk, but not legendary. Nevertheless, Anthony Mackrone’s true legacy lives on in the amount of money his pizzerias rake in every summer from the “Bennys” and “Phillies” that remain loyal customers from Memorial Day to Labor Day in Wildwood, NJ.

Phenomenal crunch, average cheese and sauce, pretty good for boardwalk pizza.

Flavor was perfection. A few point deduction for being slightly undercooked and a few point deduction for the grease flop.

Greasy and not a lot of sauce. Decent but nothing to write home about

Best pizza on the board hands down! Occasionally flop but it’s a thin crust and the flavor makes up for it! Highly recommend if you’re in wildwood!

I would say the pizza may be a 6, but the staff was the rudest people I dealt with on my whole vacation.

What a great slice of pizza! Great cheese, sauce, and crisp. What more is there to say? It was light, sweet, and just so delicious.

Extremely impressed with this. Sauce is on point, cheese is good, and it was cooked perfect. Crust perfect and light, thin af. Wow.

Nice flop, well seasoned sauce, delicious cheese and a nice crunchy crust. A Wildwood staple and must try
