It’s official: Mamma Rosa’s has taken over the throne for best Trenton-style tomato pie. That’s right—better than Papa’s, better than DeLorenzo’s. Maybe it was just last night’s pie, but for whatever reason, every ingredient was just one notch better than the usual fare of the other tomato pie joints. That is to say the sauce was sweeter, the cheese was more savory, and the crust was crunchier. Zero—and I mean zero—flop, Frankie. My second highest rating as of this writing and I’m not even sure if I rated it high enough. Magical.
