Mangia Macrina's Wood Fired Pizza

Name of the pizza is Quattro Formaggi (garlic style pizza with asiago, marscapone, mozzarella, gorgonzola, and basil). The flavors compliment each other very well. The crust is super thin with a proper cook.

One of the best CNY slices around. Nothing can compete with this pizza from what I’ve had so far. The cheese and sauce work well together. A light and delicious pizza.

It may look good, but looks are deceiving. I walked one minute to my car and this pie was cold and soggy. Sauce had no taste. Floppy with zero crisp. Just doughy and tasteless. Not good pizza.

Listen, what you have to understand is that you don’t come to Mangia Macrina’s for your typical cheese pizza. This is a specialty pizza shop. I ordered a Grazie (Prosciutto, Bacon, Hot Soppressatta, Roasted Garlic Mozzarella is Bufala, Oregano, *and by special request cherry pepper honey*). Classic New York flop. Solid taste all around. A crispy, but not too crispy, crust. This pizza is a solid choice. Haven’t had a bad pie from here yet. Low 7s and up all day long. Looking for a date idea? This is a great place to enjoy some pizza, wine and Frank Sinatra all at the same time here in New Hartford. You won’t regret making the choice to eat here!
