Marcello's Coal Fired Restaurant & Pizza

Buffalo is insanely good. Will be back.

This was incredibly good even after having it a few minutes after the other Marcello’s in Hamilton which does not seem to be related.

Review 439…well I was torn between a 7.9 and 8.1 I went with the higher score a lot because of the crust but also the community. The undercarriage was nice but there was NO crisp except for the crust sauce and cheese was tasty and thin pie…weird tomato pie though but still a good pie over all.

We ordered a pie that was burnt to a crisp so we asked for another, that was also burnt to a crisp. It’s good but the burnt takes away form the flavor. No flop, a little greasy

It’s funny how they have the 8.2 score featured on the menu for their Trenton Style Tomato Pie. Thought the sauce was too sweet for my liking. A couple of the slices were over cooked where the bottom was black as a result from the coal fire oven. Crust was solid though.

Coal fired Trenton classic tomato pie with a thin and light crust. Less than 10 minutes from Palermo’s. Crust flavor is better than Palermo’s (coal fire more than likely attributed). I liked Marcello’s tomato sauce better (my son liked Palermo’s better). The mozzarella was very fresh (you could taste the creaminess and it was stringy) [One negative was the bottom was burned black on 2 slices, I get coal fire where you get char, but some of the slices were uneatable - nice staff took a few $ to compensate which was 👍]

Great pizza. Only thing preventing me from giving it a higher score was the oil, it was very oily

Sauce is excellent. Crust has a very good undercarriage. Overall a great pizza.

Ok it traveled so my score is thinking ….had it been hot. Enjoyed a Caesar salad that was a 9.8 and the nug of bread made this order right. Had to call them to make sure driver didn’t eat half my order but it turned out to be solid. Great 1st time Slice user experience

Something was missing, looked excellent but just the taste just wasn’t there for me.

Great pepperoni, good crust sauce is a little on the sweet side

Outstanding tomato pie!

Good pizza, sauce is sweet, balanced cheese, crust is well done. I would travel for the pie, but how far. If I lived within 20 minutes no questions but would I travel more. Very close.

Great crisp but not a whole lot else making it amazing. Pretty good but definitely prefer Palermo's.

While I live in town I always said the food good but pricy and overrated. I got half garlic it was very good sauce had good flavor wasn’t thrilled with that chunk of tomato the crust was tough not crisp but tough and the char was overpowering on the bite. Doesn’t compare to Papas or Delorenzos but it’s acceptable.
