Maria’s of Fort Hamilton. It’s on the other side of Bay Ridge. Not near the bars, in the more Chinese side of Bay Ridge. They have the panko crust, thats a unique part of the pie. The sauce is sweet, and it came out scolding hot. It’s a very heavy slice, big man’s slice. It’s definitely the prototypical Brooklyn pie. I think if you love Brooklyn pizza, I think this is a must try. But if you are more of a bar pie or ristorante pie type, you ain’t gonna like this one. Even I who loves Brooklyn Pizza, this one was hard for me to get through because the slices were on the heavy side. But if you want real Brooklyn pizza, and not these new hipster spots, not these failed out of culinary school so I open a pizzeria, not these my parents gave me money to open a pizzeria or a gym, so I chose pizzeria. No this is real Brooklyn Pizza. So if you appreciate that shit, then after a night out drinking, wake up at noon, grab your friend from last night, split a pie and recap who you might have gave herpes to last night.
