Marion's Piazza

This is classic Dayton pizza. My family has used Marion’s as the go-to pizza place for get togethers and family events for decades. In my experience, you either love it, or you hate it. I was stationed all over the country and would have father-in-law fly to us with 10 frozen pizzas wrapped in dry ice, so we could have a taste of Dayton where ever we were. Pizza isn’t great, but the experience, and the memories are priceless.

Tastes better than it looks. The crunchy and texturized crust carries the pizza however, I wasn’t a huge fan of the cheese and I didn’t taste that much sauce. I’m pretty biased because this isn’t my ideal pizza but overall it’s a decent pizza!

Crisp thin crust, not greasy at all. The toppings are excellent, especially with the green olives.

Thin crisp crust with crunch in every bite, ample sauce with good flavor. If this pie had exp or cup crisp pepperoni the score might have been higher.

Very good. Not a fan of the little tiny square “slices” but the sauce was great. No flop. Good solid pie. I may have ate it in the truck, so that’s a good pizza for travel.

Thin crispy cracker style crust. Very tasty sauce. The cheese plain cheese was average at best (6.6 score).BUT I really enjoyed the pepperoni 🍕 😋

In town for business and wanted to try something local. This place did not disappoint! Great crunch to the crust and cheese & toppings all the way to the edge.

The reason this has such a high score is that people from Dayton grew up on this stuff. So they are way too biased. Scores in the 7’s, 8’s and 9’s are WILDLY high. Should be disqualified. The story is a good story - they are a Dayton staple. But the pizza itself is as sub par as it gets - paper thin frozen crust, canned tomato sauce, frozen cheese. Small square slices define the Midwest.

Good pizza, but not great

Great tasting pizza. Murdered the cut, felt like I should’ve been eating in a high chair. No chance of choking on this one.

Another Ohio pizza stop, small square style... so cannot compare to Slices to be fair. Crisp crust, lots of toppings and not greasy at all, we had the deluxe and it was ok... I would say if the two places I ate this was ok vs Don’s... place was packed for a Friday night so I understand the popularity

We ate it all before I could take a photo. It’s that good. And that’s from someone who grew up in and still lives in Jersey. A must stop if you’re ever in Ohio. With the history behind Marion’s.. the consistency to the pizza... you’re fucking crazy if you don’t enjoy it. I’m shocked Dave hasn’t been here yet. That’s a review cocksuckers.

Probably most authentic Dayton-style pizza. Not really for me. Cracker crust is good. Definitely not my first choice. But, if looking for Dayton-style pizza, go here
