not very crisp, nor flavorful. Ok slice, nothing to write home about

Could use more crisp. Cheese a little oily. Overall good pie and always consistent.

Coming to this spot when they first open for the day ended up being a mistake. I suspect this slice came from an old pie! Maybe ordering it by the slice was a mistake.

It’d probably be a higher score but they definitely gave me a reheated pie and that’s not excusable. Do better. Nice char on the crust, too much flop. And if I ever go back I’m demanding a fresh pie!

Very cute place but the pizza was floppy and bland and didn’t really have much taste. It’s too bad. We had high hopes. The grandma slice was ok though.

Went here for a near closing time slice… Super thin, super light crust. Not airy or crunchy type crispy but crispy, charred crust all the way to the cornicione. Excellent crust to find on New York style pizza. Sauce to mozzerella cheese tips towards the cheese but Mario's put such a light layer on there. I like that. Slice isn't overwhelmed and oozing with cheese. It's stiff like a folded 8.5 by 11in piece of paper. Sauce definitely has an umami, I'm guessing, tomato paste enhanced flavor. Or maybe it's from sitting out, heh. Hiny of dry oregano but barely. Not salty or garlicky. Mozzerella? Low moisture and not greasy. This is above average NY style slice, especially with the crust. Get it if you're a crust person who likes a light pizza, not oily, with a simple but umami tomatoey paste sauce.

Good wood fired pie. Good flop, good crust. Little too thin.

Both are worth it but the Gma is step above the rest

1 cheese slice and 1 margherita slice, 1:10pm on a Friday, $8.00 This review is on the regular cheese slice Pros: Just look at that slice, she's a beauty to behold. I was psyched when I opened the box to discover such a tasty looking, well sauced, nicely cooked slice. The crispy charred crust was the best I ever had from a carry-out slice Cons: While it looked like a strong 9, it tasted like a solid 8. Had it been a slightly fresher slice we might have gotten there but what held the slice back the most was the soft texture of the undercarriage. The crisp lies only in the amazing crust. The color was still lovely underneath. Verdict: Tasted fantastic, the crust was like a pizza dream come true. I'd love to try a whole pie or walk in upon opening for that fresh fresh. Still a great slice despite everything. The margherita slice was also delicious but a bit doughier and not as great as the standard cheese slice. Would recommend Mario's to anyone passing through Mt. Kisco.

When its good its great. Well done on the slice great crunch no cheese falling off, meatballs are really good might want to order some for myself. Pizza served in square and rectangular slices really good all around. Best I have had and been all over NY/NJ/CT big spots

The regular slice looked so good in the display case, but was chewy and bland. Someone said to get the “grandma slice.” It was blacker from the wood oven but just as chewy.

The grandma slice was amazing! Worthy of a 9.5 but the plain slice was meh, average at best and worth a 6.5 Average gives them an 8. Would definitely stop here again in the future for that Gma slice again.

Fantastic cheese performance. A very herbal slice with a garlicky flavor, one of the more unique tastes in the pizza category. I will say though, that something about this slice tasted almost candy-like which was slightly off putting to me. But those herbs and garlic make up for it. A thin crust but I was expecting a little more crisp. No flop either. Overall, very good. If I could I’d eat this pizza 40 times in 30 days. Signing off.

Looks better then it tastes. A little soggy and no favor. Crust is great tho!

This place and Johnnys are the best in Westchester. Such a quality pie. Great flavor, perfectly cooked every time.
