Mario's Woodfired Pizzeria

Today we are in downtown Beaver, which I think is the most beautiful little town. It’s just a whole street filled with small locally owned businesses that are thriving. It has the vibes of a smaller Mt Lebanon with much less traffic. Now the discussion of the pizza will not nearly be as positive. There was barely any sauce and cheese on this pie. The only thing I could taste was the wood fired dough. The wood fired taste can get pretty tiresome when there’s barely and sauce or cheese to balance it out. There was no crisp whatsoever on this pizza either. Usually that is not a big deal to me, but when there’s barely any sauce or cheese on it already, you have to give me something to work with. Overall a wonderful day in Beaver county, but the pizza could use some spunk, or maybe some sauce.

Good crispy crust but not too flavorful. Restaraunt is packed so they must be doing something right here. Seems popular with the locals.

Margherita pizza, very good! Great service and good prices!

Neopolitan style. Nice toasty crunch to the crust. Undercarriage a little undercooked. Would like to see more sauce. Overall very good.

If you want a Neapolitan pie in Beaver County, this is the spot. Fresh ingredients, fresh Mozz, great wood fired flavor. Go when it’s not busy, to ensure the crispness, it’s gets a little soggy if it sits around waiting for the server. Anyway, solid pie. 🍕
