Mercato Tomato Pie

I feel like this pizza could have a lot of potential. The crust is really good. They do a great job with the crust. The top of the pizza was a bit greasy though. This was surprising, since there were a small amount of pepperoni. It was somewhat of a gloopy mess. I think a little less cheese and thinner slices of pepperoni would bring out a better version of this pie.

Thicker slice. Good cheese blend. Sauce was on the sweet side which is good. Above average slice. 7.5. That’s Review.

Came in and was greeted and seated straight away at 545 pm. 2 beers, one small cheese pizza. Beers arrive in 5 minutes. 35 minutes later none of the wait staff can account for our server. We ask for our check to go to the show. Everyone seems oblivious or unable to to close a check. Staff was horrible. Absolutely rubbish.

Good spot before a Devils game

MARGHERITA needed more cheese but I like the abundance of sauce. Very fresh and the crust was my type of crust to the T. Great crust great ingredients, easy.

Good pie, but needs a bit more sweetness in the sauce and a little more bite to the cheese. Still very good and just my personal opinion. Try for your self! Great atmosphere and plenty of drink choices.

Chicken pie

Light and crispy.

I wasn't planning on doing any more reviews on this app. But this was so disappointing that it made me "come out of retirement". This place is inspired by New Haven style. Yet they gave me an underbaked mess with caked on burnt flour from the floor of the oven on the bottom, disgusting gummy cheese, and a bland sauce. An absolute waste of their beautiful coal fired oven.

Ummmmm..... yeah. This thing was a mess. Granted they were jam packed before the Seton Hall game, but this is just unacceptable. There were a few slices that had little to no sauce, just burnt cheese. It was $16 for a personal pizza, a PERSONAL friggen pizza!! AND it took an hour to come out and look this bad!! This may have tasted a lot better if they were not so busy, but I will never be back to find out.

Was expecting this to be like a Trenton tomato pie based off the name of the restaurant. To my surprise, cheese is super prominent on this pie... it was good but the crust was boring and the ratio of cheese tomato and dough was kind of off for me. No flop, a little grease - really good sauce:cheese ratio. Good tomato taste. However - crust seemed to be an afterthought - overcooked, burnt, with little taste - like they served the pizza on an edible leather spoon. Put more effort into the crust and this could be a really good pizza.
