Pizza Review
I gave out my first 0.0 earlier today. If you don’t show up to make my pizza, you get a 0.0. That left me looking for another spot in the area. Enter Michael Anthony’s. It’s been on my radar for some time. Finally got in to this old school place. It has about 10 tables I’d say, so small. The pizza is thin and crispy with a smooth bottom. Sauce is also smooth with no real chunks or texture of tomato. It’s tavern style. Sausage and pepperoni added a good spice and saltiness. I got it piping hot and felt that it even tasted better once it cooled down to a reasonable temperature to be eaten. Not a lot to say here besides this is a solid spot in Villa Park. I’d like to add that today they were supporting a local library by donating proceeds on meals sold. I’m all about supporting local small businesses. Check these guys out. PS I know the 7.0 is a rookie score, but it seemed right.
