Michaelangelo Pizza & Subs

While this is West Haven, the pizza is not New Haven style. More like NY style. To put it blunt, this was awesome. I am a NY Pizza guy and this is some of the best NY Pizza I've had in CT. Crust was light, sauce was great, cheese was great. Sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. I will definitely be back!

Really good fresh ingredients

Very fresh pie, good sauce. It would have been in the 8s for me, but it was too heavy on the cheese.

Good cheese pull, flavorful sauce, nice oven fired crust, good size for good price.

This place is great! First let me rave about their homemade bread. If you want to great chicken Parmesan, meatball or eggplant Parmesan sub I highly recommend this place. As for the pizza it is outstanding. This is also a great place to get a single slice as they always have slices available and made fresh. Not every place does that or does slices well.

Drove back from Mohegan to NYC and it was 10:30 at night. Sally’s, Pepe’s, Bar and Modern were all closed, and Michaelangelo’s was the only place that was open, so we decided to give it a shot. The crust was thin and crispy and the mozzarella was fresh, but the sauce was borderline canned and the entire pizza was a huge grease slide. We should’ve left Mohegan earlier as we were intending on going to Modern, located next to Michaelangelo’s, for their Italian Bomb Pie, however Modern closes at 9pm when Yale isn’t in session.

Broccoli Rob and sausag Very good pizza but I am a person who likes a crunchy base. It’s a bit wet.
