Michaelangelo's Pizza & Subs - Cape Carteret

Good pizza huge flop but really greasy. When in the area it’s one of the first places we stop

Good pie, not a lot of grease. Decent crust. Not a lot of flop.

Most of the beach pizza in Carteret county taste similar. I thought the flavor was very good and texture was decent. Slightly chewy on the crust but enjoyed the slice.

When it comes to pizza reviews, I’m no rookie. I’ve watched every pizza review and know what a good score is. I would never inflate a score knowing a better slice could be tomorrow. I just moved to the area and figured I’d start close. It’ll be hard to top Michaelangelo’s. Sauce is AMAZING. That’s what got my eyes opened first. Crust, despite being a little too floppy, is delicious. The cheese is perfection. I think it could have stayed in the oven a little more and I’d score it higher. This is very NY style. The taste immediately brought me back to a NJ boardwalk or any good slice from NYC. This is a min from my house and will definitely go again and again.
