Mineo's Pizza House

One bite everyone knows the rules....Mineos is a PGH institution and when you ask a Pittsbugher their favorite pie, many mention Mineos. I had never had it before so this is my honest first-timer review: Slice is very cheesy. The layer of cheese was thicker than the crust IMO. They use a special blend of cheese that's very unique, like nothing I've ever had before. Had sort of an aged cheese taste to it, semi bitter, but good. There was not a lot of sauce, which was good in my opinion because it wasn't my favorite. A bit sweeter sauce on this pizza would go better with the cheese blend IMO. Dough is semi crispy but still has a bit of flop to it at the end of the slice. It is a good pizza but not what I had expected, my hopes were a bit higher. Still a must try in PGH though.
