This Roman-style place is solid. Great variety, easy to grab just a quick slice or 2, and amazing crusts.

Decent pizza. Needs to be cooked just a little longer.

Score is for the margherita (bottom right of pic). Slice was okay. As the other reviews suggest, yes the place is a bit overpriced, and yes the slice is a roman-style. The best part was that they were crisp. The worst part was the flavors were a little off in my opinion.

For Roman Style Pizza, it’s up there. You have to like this style pizza.

(Review is for Margherita slice, bottom right of photo) Fancy square pizza in an unassuming atmosphere. Full flavors of fresh tomato and basil. Cheese is dense and creamy but it’s the supporting actor in this slice. The star is the crust. Roman style crust, which is similar to Sicilian-style, but they add olive oil into the dough and let it rise for an extended period of time. Picture a traditional thick Sicilian slice with slightly less “fluff” and a little more “crunch.”

The overlying issue here is that you can’t order a cheese slice, which is odd for a place whose mantra is “pizza by the slice.” The Margherita was underwhelming and led me to question the legitimacy of reviews on Yelp. You can find much better-tasting pizza for cheaper elsewhere. For my money, I’ll take a traditional slice over those offered at Rione.
