Normally a 9.2 but very under cooked today so I give it a 6.7 flavor always there but crust too undercooked. Must be a bad night for the cook

Really high quality pizza as evidenced by the golden crusted cheese in the photograph. A little too heavy on the cheese (threw off cheese to sauce ratio) but overall a top tier slice. 8.7, that’s the review.

Always a solid pie at Modern Apizza in New Haven Ct. I asked for a little extra char. Great ingredients all around. Drive an hour to get New Haven pizza.. some of the best pizza in the country IMO

Definitely a good pie. Crust and cheese are the stars of this pizza. Sauce could use a little more flavor and it’s a little greasy.

Quality za, cheese is fantastic, sauce is quality!!! The crust has great flavor. The pie had serious new haven flop. Another minute in the oven would’ve improved the undercarriage. Definitely worth having but I’d rather have pepe’s

Not as good as Sally’s or Pepe’s in my opinion. A very slight advantage on Zuppardi’s. Very good!!

One of the big three in New Haven and it lives up to all the hype! Fantastic flavor from the cheese and crust, overall just a fabulous pizza if you’re in New Haven.

Cheese pizza: very good dough; decent crisp, but could be better; good cheese; good sauce; good amount of wetness/dryness; could be crispier, with some burnt edges

Small Italian Bomb Pie- I know I’m migrating from original pies here but this was tremendous despite not typically being a fan of several toppings. The signature Italian Bomb Pie here at Modern is well worth a try; perfect combination of meats and a flavorful crust to compliment the fresh mozzarella. The only knock is that the crust was slightly overcooked and bubbly.

The crust on this pizza, was one of the best crusts I’ve ever had. Having said that, this cheese had an ABUNDANCE of cheese that made the pizza both salty and floppy/greasy. Still a really good (almost great) pizza and probably the best I’ve had in CT.
