Is there flop? Yes yes there is. Do I care? Not at all! Because the cheese is perfect as is the char. You can tell they’ve been doing this for a long long time. Why change anything? It’s a phenomenal pizza.

A good step above the west coast. First stop on our holy trinity tour. Good pepperoni - also went with the eggplant - which is a parm style - very nice.

Modern is my choice for #1 overall New Haven’t apizza joint. Has a whole lot of char on the bottom from the oil-fired oven. Best cheese of any of the heavy hitters. Sausage is incredible much like Zuppardi’s. The muzz is great as well.

Mozzarella here was easily the best by far out of the holy trinity of places. Franks has the best crust, sally has the best sauce, and Modern has the best cheese all around. This one wins.

Got the traditional mozzarella. Very good pie, tastes like they used part skim cheese not as flavorful as whole milk so a little knock there. Dough is great and baked to a perfect new haven style
