Great pizza, but once again, I’m underwhelmed by Dave’s recommendations. This one sealed the deal for me—it’s clear Dave just prefers thin pies with fresh ingredients. That’s my style too, but there has to be some flavor to back it up.
With this, my New Haven trifecta is complete: Sally’s, Frank Pepe’s, and Modern. Pepe’s takes the gold.
Honestly, I think a few spots in the Pittsburgh area could compete with New Haven. Never thought I’d say that, but it’s true.
