Inspired by the rare perfect score rating by Dave Portnoy himself, we venture to the city of Lynn on this Thursday night to see the hype around Monte’s Restaurant.
High expectations were immediately met by phenomenal service and cordial exchanges with Tony the bartender. The presentation of this pizza was not rushed, which should be appreciated in light of receiving a truly great pie. Upon delivery of our meal, the bartender ensured that the pizza was up to par and appealed to our liking. We confirmed, and wasted no time indulging on some of the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. A perfect blend of garlic and succulent cheese greeted my taste buds upon the first bite. Then followed a wave of rich homemade sauce complimenting the delectable thin crust. The pizza did not last long as one bite eventually turned into five slices and dared me to continue on. Flaws with this near-perfect pie are hard to come by and I highly recommend trying this delicacy for yourself.
I think it can be said that some of the best meals come from the most unexpected establishments. This place can be easy to miss from the naked eye, but those seeking top of the line za should not look past Monte’s Restaurant in Lynn. While this may not achieve the ever-so rare perfect score, it’s obvious that Pres certainly knows pizza.
