Ok second time back much better pie this time around the thinnest pie I’ve had to date it explodes with each bite. Crust tastes amazing just overpowers a little bit and with the cheese overpowers the sauce too. The place itself is awesome and I love a Jersey place with that cracker thin build. Perfect end to a crazy and fun day!

Paper thin bar pie. Excellent sauce to cheese ratio. Crust has minimal chew and is like a matzoh cracker. Some folks aren’t a fan of the thinness as there not much mass to the slice - I liked it. Very good pizza to try if you’re in the vicinity. You do yourself a disservice if you take the pie home and wait to eat. Must eat on site - pie will seize up and lose dynamics and flavor on the reheat.

Perfect bar pie style. One of my absolute favorites!! Drive half an hour just to get a pie.

The pizza is elite for those who fiend for bar pies. Extremely thin crust and good taste.

Very excited to try this based on Dave’s score and that it is only 20 minutes from my house. Place was full, well socially distanced full for a Saturday night. Pies looked great as they were being delivered to tables and so did ours. Ordered 2 cheese pies and ate the first one in the car to get a right out of the oven experience. Definitely not on the same page as Dave. Everything about it was underwhelming. Cheese and sauce had no flavor and the crust was very dry. Only flavor was a very subtle hint of oregano. The entire family thought the same and my son loves bar pies.

The crust is very thin which I love but also the crust is non existent. Everything else is good but I don't think I can put this in the 8s... Great spot overall though

Great pizza! By far the best thin crust pizza I’ve had. Even better with pepperoni!

Another treat for Zeke. Nancy was a delight to talk to about the very long history of this place. And with that came a phenomenal slice. The crust is the wow factor for Zeke. Great crunch. I’m a big fan of bar pizza and that’s kinda what we’re dealing with here. Could’ve added a little more sauce, but literally Zeke’s only bad thing to say. Outside of that this is a great pizza, and when you walk in expect to feel right at home because that’s what Zeke felt like.

When ranking the best bar pies in New Jersey, Federici’s & Star Tavern are pretty much the gold standard. But Nancy’s makes a good case to be in the conversation. Super thin dough, very light and wonderfully crispy, it meets several standards of a quintessential bar pie. The dough is cracker-like but a bit thicker than the matzah-like dough they use at Pete & Elda’s. The crust is perfectly crispy & crunchy with a well done char that is easily the best attribute of this pizza. The sauce is a tad light, tasty, but could use a little kick to enhance flavor. The cheese is tight & rigid, like most bar pies, lacking that creaminess you find on Neapolitan pizzas; minimal grease is a nice bonus though. Overall it’s a really good Jersey bar pie, a few notches below Federici’s & Star Tavern but much better than Pete & Elda’s. Worth making a trip if you are a bar pie connoisseur.
