The regular pie here is as basic as it gets, like a 6.3...so I decided to review the Grandma Pie. The crushed red tomatoes are very sweet and accompanied by a strong presence of garlic. The rest of the sauce is ok, just a little too salty for my liking. The cheese is just too generic for a Grandma pie. They should use fresh mozzarella; this is more like basic pizza cheese. The fresh basil is a nice touch and certainly helps bring out some flavor. It all rests on a soft and sponge-like dough which would definitely be better if it were crispier, like the crust, easily the best part. The Grandma Pie is definitely better than the regular pizza, but nothing special. I think less salt in the sauce and fresh mozzarella would improve this pie tremendously.
