A former New Yorker that is a pizza aficionado, I’ve been to New Haven and the famous Frank Pepe pizza and I’ve also had the 2 local New Haven style pizzerias. I had just about sworn off New Haven style pizza because I had never enjoyed it. This place changed my perspective. I had the tomato pie and it was outstanding. The sauce wasn’t overpowering, the cheese was quality cheese, and the toppings were fresh. The crust wasn’t too crispy and it wasn’t soggy. Just perfect to the point where I ate the entire crust. I also tried the garlic knots which they are testing out and they were great also and very reasonably priced. The portion to price is also very balanced. This spot has become my new favorite place for pizza. Hopefully they will get to the point of having a brick and mortar location with longer hours, but for now I know where to go for quality pizza.
