Dave must’ve come in on a bad day. Got the plain, Buffalo Chicken, and Spicy Meatball (pictured). Perfect crust, great cheese and sauce, but not all the way there. Won’t turn my nose up at it though, easily one of my favorite spots.

Like a lot of his reviews, Dave was dead wrong on this one. Next Door has the perfect cheese to sauce ratio, and incredible flavor. Great crust and undercarriage. Super foldable. Easily an 8.2/10

Wanted to get Modern or Sally’s but the wait was crazy. This was very good as an alternative. Good char and undercarriage. A little more flop than I like and coulda been a little more crispy but still a very good pizza.

Dave got this one wrong for sure. Wood fired NHV style pizza. Thin, crispy, chewy and charred. Can’t hold New Haven pizza spots to a higher standard on reviews when this would blow away most pizzerias in huge cities across the entire country. Come see for yourself how incredible this pie truly is. The sauce and crust are light years away from most pizza places outside of New Haven proper.

Not enough sauce and cheese

They’re back! Exceptionally consistent, New Haven style apizza made in a wood oven. Nice char and smokiness from the oven. Excellent toppings. Love the fresh mozzarella pie and plain New Haven style. They make a very solid white clam too.

Solid. Have a frank pepis veteran in the house.

Went there last night. Was very good pizza. Tried the spicy meatball, broccoli rabe with sausage, fresh tomato, clams casino. All were very good. The service was spot on.

Got a nice lil spice in it. Fresh flavor. Definitely will be back here.

Alright Frankie, First Time Experience: Location: In a great spot in New Haven. More importantly parking here is beyond easy compared to other popular locations. Environment: The resturant/building is fabulous and online pictures don’t do it justice. Much bigger than originally thought. Food/Service (Most Important Part): In all honesty I can’t begin to tell you how satisfied my fiancé and I were. The waiter was top notch, polite, attentive and extremely helpful. The food, was exceptional. I had a pizza with half mozzarella, half sausage. Sauce is delicious and ingredients are beyond high quality. She ordered the New Haven Original pizza which was excellent. One bite and we were both hooked! Price: Very Reasonable for the quality. Bill was $38 total for 2 Medium Sized Pizzas, 1 appetizer and drinks. Verdict: 5/5. A+. (I would confidently say Next Door gives the big boys like “Pepe’s” a run for for their money!
