Nicky’s by Fusion & Tradición

Ok, here we are on a chilly Wednesday. 1st softball game for Sammy today. Now ive done this place before, but but I think it has new owners. And my review isn’t showing up anyway. Now it got so so reviews, it does look a little floppy. And non-Italian made. Which is OK. I don’t have high hopes. But let’s get into it. It’s OK. It’s very greasy, it does have an interesting taste. I would expect it to be better with Mario’s across the street. But I guess they are catering to a certain taste. It’s just OK. No flop, but very greasy, and bland.

Hate how the one bite app completely quits out of everything if you exit the app for a sec. Had a great pic of the pizza and location ready for the review. Fix your app barstool. Anyways, not a bad slice at all. My friends and I got a cheese pie after a night out and it was alright. The alcohol could’ve had an effect on that tbh. Anyways, 6.5 and that’s a review

This is the most clear 5.9 I’ve ever had

Don’t judge a book by its cover should be the theme for this place. It says it’s a pizzeria, but the place seems like a Peruvian restaurant. The women making the pizza barely spoke English, but I was like how bad can it be? The slices are massive, oily, with minimal flavor. The sauce and cheese are probably on the cheaper side, but hey it gets the job done.

Pie is clearly combined from other pizzas. The slices don’t match at all in size or pepperoni cut. Tastes fine but wow

Pretty below average Za. Sauce was lacking and so was its flavor. Cheese was not melted all the way. Ok I’m a pinch or drunk but I would not seek it out again. Floppy and flavorless sums it up.

Overwhelming amount of cheese. Very doughy, but surprisingly crispy and flavorful, crust. Sauce was distinctive but not great. Drunk pizza.

The most average slice I’ve ever had. very ok

Not hot enough. Cheese not stringy. Very crispy bottom

Zero flop...but in my opinion flop is a terrible indicator of pizza quality. I mean - just reheat a slice for a longer period of time and that undercarriage is going to develop some crunch and lose its flop. But I digress - this pizza is below average but still within the realm of acceptable. It inarguably has flavor - but I knew that before I took a bite because of the glossy sheen from puddles of oil/grease. A great late night slice that probably loses its luster in the light of day.

This review I had to redo because I have since been enlightened to a world of better pizza. I have to admit, I was a rook when I first gave this score. Originally 2 full points higher than what this is! But I wasn’t following my own rules. Rating a non traditional slice. And couldn’t live another minute with the weight of guilt weighing on my shoulders. Something had to be done. Its a late night drunk snack at most. My BAC was probably close to the actual score of this slice that night. When you’re inebriated, it doesn’t tell the true tale. All ingredients were sub par, thus the sub par rating
