Nola’s Osteria and Pizza

⭐️FUTURE STAR ALERT⭐️ Opened in 2020 amid the pandemic, this place has an old school feel like they’ve been around since the 1950s. Despite this being a fairly new location, they do have over 30 years of experience in the Italian restaurant industry. Lots of different styles to choose from on their “Ah Pizz” menu including thin crust, pan pie, square Grandma & Bleecker style just to name a few. They even have “Back Door Pies” with specialty toppings, cash only and literally picked up at the back door of the joint. I ordered a large original cheese pizza, which is thinnish, very light & airy, almost floats in your hand, easy to take down multiple slices. The dough is fantastically tasty, firm undercarriage, not much flop, and a crunchy airy crust with lots of room to breathe. The cheese is a delicious blend of mozzarella with minimal grease and terrific consistency, seasoned well with spices, oregano and Parmesan. Like the dough, the sauce is also light but wonderfully flavorful with solid tang, zip & zing. This is truly “pizza flavored pizza,” a high compliment, the kind you’d introduce to someone who never had pizza before. This pie completely lived up to the hype of the OneBite pizza community who collectively gave this a travel-worthy 8.7 rating. I truly believe this will be the next big Jersey pizza spot, as the word continues to spread and once Dave Portnoy rates it. Get here soon before the masses discover this little gem!
