Pizza Review
I thought I was gonna like this pizza; I really wanted to like this pizza, but the pool of grease this pie is swimming in made that impossible. I needed half a roll of paper towels to dab my way through this oil geyser. I’m not sure what’s causing this abundance of grease but they use a low moisture mozzarella and pecorino romano that tastes more like a sharp cheddar than pizza cheese. The sauce is practically unidentifiable because all I can taste is salt, and lots of it. Not sure if that’s the grease, the cheese or the sauce but this pie is one giant sodium bomb. The only salvageable part of this pizza is the dough. Thin, floppy, with a sourdough taste and a very doughy but flavorful crust. It’s too bad the ingredients that sit atop this terrific dough are subpar. After seeing so many high scores, I’m incredibly disappointed by this joint. Save your money for better Brooklyn pizza.
