North Beach Pizza

Oh man, where do I even start? I stumbled into North Beach Pizza on Stanyan Street after a long day wandering around Golden Gate Park, and let’s just say my pizza standards have been forever elevated. This spot is a cozy little joint in the Haight-Ashbury area – nothing fancy, just quick service, friendly vibes, and pizza that’s clearly made with love and probably some San Francisco magic. I went for a slice of their pesto pizza, and holy cow, it was hands-down the best pesto slice I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside with that ideal chewiness inside – not too thin, not too doughy. Each bite was a burst of herby goodness that made me forget I was eating “just a slice.” And at a reasonable price for SF? Total win.

Pizza was fairly decent. This is their meatball pizza with sliced meatball, peppers, and onions. The pizza needed way more meatballs. If you look at the picture here, the bottom 40% of the pizza only has like four pieces of meat ball slice. So by plucking one piece off to eat, now that whole slice is now a vegetarian. Even distribution and more than one meatball slice piece per slice.

This is hands down the King of the west coast! I just downloaded the One Bite App Dave and am entering my favorites!

Really solid slice, tasted fresh, thick crust, good thick is what I’m tryna say, good for the price, I would call it a step above football pizza. Now that’s a review.

It’s decent pizza for SF. Anything is better than Monte’s in Lynn but not much in California is worth a drive to buy.
