Hate to do this bc the owner was a nice guy but this was a very doughy slice. Overly floured, low quality low moisture cheese, the ratios were in favor of the cheese and a flaky undercarriage. I actually may have been generous with score.

Tucked away in the heart of briarcliff sits a hidden gem formerly known as North State Pizza but now is called Briarcliff Beat Pizza. The pizza is fantastic, make sure to say hello to Sam, the goat. You may even get some free cannolis.

I did not ask for the guy behind the counter to cut my slice in half like that, but I had to go right back to work, so I didn't fuss about it. The guy seems nice. The slice itself, although was nice firm and crispy was lacking of any jump in your face flavor.
