Pizza Review
It’s ballsy to specifically put “NY” in your name when you’re in the heart of Chicagoland. However, these guys do it right. I’ve been to New York and tasted some slices in and around Manhattan. This is comparable to what I had, so you know they’re done their homework. Left side is the Snow White, right side Pepperoni. I’m a purist so I won’t speak to the white pizza, which was good though. The dough on both was thin and crispy with no flop when folded. There was a good amount of cheese and the sauce was light. The red sauce had a heavy flavor or basil. It tasted more geared toward a margherita style. It made this pizza stand out as their own, which I like when spots aren’t forgettable. The crust was puffier, which typically is uncharacteristic of NY slices, but again, I liked the differential execution, because it gave an extra grip and airy crunchy finish. Overall, this is a solid spot. If NY slices are your thing, this is one of the best I’ve had in the area.
