Pizza Review
Formerly known as “Big Slice Pizza,” the slices here are still humongous. Very similar to Joe’s Pizza in Wildwood, the large pie is $30 and gigantic, with slices 2 times the size of regular pizza. For such an enormous pie, the dough is actually very thin, soft but not terribly floppy, decent undercarriage, with a nice texture and taste but lacking in crisp. The crust is super soft and bulky, no crunch whatsoever and kind of a raw dough flavor, very unappetizing. The cheese is extremely basic, a generic blend, melted well but as standard as it gets. The dough to cheese to sauce ratio is very well balanced however. Despite a solid tang, the sauce isn’t particularly tasty. More salty than sweet, the sauce needs more of a kick; there’s nothing distinguishable about it. This pizza is quantity over quality; very filling but disappointing flavor & taste. They claim to be known for their “famous sweet Buffalo chicken pizza,” but I can’t see that being much better. Overall, this is total gimmick pie, big ass boardwalk slices, a summertime tourist trap attraction.
