Gerard’s Pizza & Pasta

As their first customer on a Thursday, these slices were super fresh. This is the best time for a slice at most spots. Plain 7.0: sauce could have had more flavor, but otherwise was a great slice Margarita 6.4: not the best one I ever had, sprinking garlic powder on top fixed blandness BBQ chicken 9.1: I love sweet bbq sauce on chicken and this slice had a great amount of it. This slice was flawless!

Note: The reviews before mine are not reviews of Gerard's. So this is their first review. Ordered a slice not from a fresh pie just one sitting out after having Baci's around the corner, which is a great pizzeria. CliffNotes review? It's an average New York style slice that's got a pungent garlic (powder) taste to the sauce. Crust cooked medium well, small cornicione, not an airy crust, denser, little greasy, more cheese than sauce like is typical for these slices. It all holds together. Big selling point on (or drawback) to this slice is that sauce is garlicked to the point it overpowers other flavors. You can see oregano but not taste it. Biit salty slice too, which I like. That garlic taste stands out from other pies in the area as distinct but it's not my favorite.

Price of pizza is back ladies and gentlemen. And this time I’m taking my talents to a cute little northern Westchester joint near my moms house. I went here once for a calzone and they charged me 14 bucks. I was pretty taken back but I still went back for just some pizza this time instead of an overpriced roll with cheese and chicken.... the pizza.... not BAD. Sicilian had some tang and a good under carriage. I liked the cheese it was satisfying. Great crunch on the crust. I enjoyed the Sicilian. The margarita honestly was below average. Floppy, could have been left in the over longer. Not too memorable. But the Sicilian is what pushes this review into the high 6’s getting them to a 6.9 ooo baby I’m feeling sexual. That’s a review

Sauce needs improvement but not bad

Humongous slice, nice value for $2.75. Nice amount of sauce, not too greasy or floppy. Just below average ingredients.
