Olde World Apizza

Pizzas were charred all around but dough was under cooked throughout. Pizza had no rigidity - flop city and everything just slid off. First time ever I’ve ever put salt on a pizza because it had no taste. Really disappointed considering the high scores I see here. I won’t be back.

Phenomenal taste and texture. Plenty of crisp. Loved the burnt edges. They added so much flavor.

A bit goopy, but I love the crust! Has the right amount of chewiness. Taste reminds me of Moderns apizza

Ignoring the photo quality, had a good pie here. Everything tasted on point, especially the dough. Could always go for a little more sauce, and its always a fine line to walk with the cheese quantity. Part of this pie had a big bubble that I would say was a bit too much.

This was a huge surprise and is as good as Modern, Pepe’s or Sally’s!!

Delicious taste

Very good char and great taste, although there is a little too much cheese in the middle which leads to a lot of flop. Overall great pizza.

Ordered 30 mins before closing. Walked in to the pie just out of the oven. Immediately opened the box so it wouldn’t steam. Super fresh sauce was excellent perfect amount of cheese not greasy, a little flop in the center. My wife is not a thin crust fan and gave it a 9.2👀 this is definitely my style, I went 8.4. Posted 8.8 to split the difference. Well worth the drive any day!

I’m not really familiar with this New Haven style, but I have to say I get the hype. On a scale from one to ten the taste of this pie was a ten. A tangy herb infused tasty tangy sauce. The crust taste was superb as well. The cheese although greasy was the perfect amount in ratio to the sauce. Little floppy in the front third of each slice with the cheese falling off. If you like a well done pizza with some char this is your jam for sure. I’m from North Jersey some good pizza in its own right. But if someone opened a joint that made this style. It would be a home run!

Was driving from New York to Boston and saw El Prez’ review on this joint. Hostess was very friendly, and it’s a traditional, old world pizza parlor. The pizza was very good, but I did not fully understand how Dave gave this a rating over 8.0? Fresh ingredients, good char, a little bit of flop, the flavor was solid, which is a compliment, but did not blow me off my feet. Also, tried the sausage, meatball and buffalo chicken. All good pizzas, the sausage was probably the best of the four.
