Thick cheese with a bit of tang in the sauce (cheese is under the sauce). Crust is thick but the heavy sauce makes up for it. Tang of sauce+quality of the thick cheese makes for a great pie.

A classic cheese-on-bottom pizza. The crust has the right amount of crisp and a layer of cheese to keep it that way. The sauce is so fresh and unspoiled, added after it’s baked. Decades of perfection is evident here.

This pizza oozes excellence. Above all though, is the fresh sauce poured on after baking. It doesn’t get much better than this. Rookie scores.

Drove an hour to try and there’s a reason this place has been in business 100 years. Phenomenal flavor and crisp. I was leaning 8.3 but it’s a square cut and I think flop test is worth half a point. Can’t test flop with this. Awesome place. Worth the drive.

This place has been here for over 100 years. Whether you like it or not, they have been doing something right so its worth a visit just for its street cred alone. The pizza is definitely an original style. Very tangy sauce, thick cheese and crispy crust. The history is thick and commendable.

Bake at home version travelled roughly 170 miles. Easily an 8.0 fresh.

Solid pie, very solid pie but over rated on this app. Cheese has good flavor. I like crisp but this is more like a crunch, a little too much for me.

Great old school pizza and vibe. We got the sausage which was high quality not cheap crumbles. Crust was fluffy and crisp on the bottom. Sauce had good tomato flavor, good sweetness level. Proportion of cheese to sauce to dough was great.

It’s a good upside down pizza, sauce is a bit thin and watery for my taste and could use a tad more sugar to it but cheese was good and it was definitely crispy! It’s a 7.8 that’s a review!

Solid pizza! Unique in the sense that the sauce is on top with cheese below it. Very saucy, well done though. Make sure to try with the Utica Club beer!
