My neighborhood buddies are doing a Big Pizza Tour this Tuesday May 25th!! Contes vs Papas vs DiLorenzos vs Palermos!! Been to all four but not in the same day. Myy favorite hands down is Palermos Tomato Pie but I will try to keep an open mind. I’m going with four out of towners so it should be interesting so hear their thoughts. DAVE YOU NEED TO GO TO PALERMOS and get their Tomato Pie!! Put this small business on the pizza map.....Julio and his team DESERVE IT!!!

Palermo’s signature pie is their tomato pie. While the tomato pie is my favorite style from their and is superb, their regular pizza is excellent too! Both have a great tang and crisp. The tomatoes they use definitely have a unique tang to them. Their tomato pie can go head to head with the more well known Trenton tomato pies like Delorenzo’s and Papa’s.

Hidden gem in south jersey. Super flavorful sauce and fresh mozzarella makes for a great pie. If pie had a bit more char could be in the elite levels.

Light, crisp almost perfect crust. Chunkish sauce with a little onion (?) to it. Very solid Brooklyn style pizza

Ordered the Tomato Pie and it was amazing. Definitely ranks with the other Trenton area Tomato Pies.

Great pizza and great customer service. Good cheese and sauce. The crust was good - a little chewy, not undercooked, just a little chewy.

Great slice. Not too greasy, good cheese. Just could be a little more crisp.

Though located in Bordentown, Palermo’s makes good on the Trenton classic of tomato pie. Like the others (Papa’s, DeLorenzo’s), it’s light and crispy. But setting it apart is its sweet, oniony sauce. It could easily be a Top 5 tomato pie.

Great slice. Sauce and cheese has flavor with every bite, crispy but a little greasy.

Zesty slice of Trenton-style tomato pie goodness. Thin crust, probably crispier when fresh out of oven. On a recent “Best NJ Tomato Pie” list so couldn’t resist passing by...

I thought this pie was damn near perfect in terms of crisp and the flavor of the chunky sauce.

Solid thinner crust in this tomato pie. The dough was great and had ample structure. While the cheese and sauce were very tasty, I’m deducting some points because the sauce is a little too sweet. Still a great pizza overall.

Went with tomato pie. Sauce was sweet with good flavor. Crust was also good with decent crunch.
