Pizza Review
Cool place! If I lived near North Platte I’d be here at least once a week. Really tasty beer. On the pizza, I admit I might have given it a more generous score due to the great beer and cool vibe. They have a nice selection of specialty pies but you can build your own. I chose the “Hog Heaven” because I’m usually sold if pork is put on anything. This specialty has a “sriracha ranch” sauce base (spicy) then is topped with pork, bacon, Italian sausage, blue cheese, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. I can’t tell you if I tasted half of those ingredients because the sauce is pretty dominant but the combo was generally a nice overall flavor. The cheeses had a fresh flavor and it wasn’t overly greasy. Really everything tasted fresh. The blue cheese was a welcome flavor (I wasn’t sure it would compliment). The crust was decent enough, it looked like it might have been precooked before the toppings were added, had a crispy texture that kinda reminded me of flatbread. The edge was a bit doughy, had ok flavor. I’m super picky on my crust so I am being more harsh here but it’s not the best or worst pizza crust I’ve tried. At least it’s not soggy but it’s not a traditional pizza dough. Fair enough, I’d still come here and try another one.
