Papa's Tomato Pies

For all the pizza I’ve had, this might be my first tomato pie. Really enjoyed the pie at this old school pizza spot. Pies only. Well done crust with zero flop and olive oil over the edges. Really liked the sauce. Felt like I could’ve had another half pie. While it was worth the trip I couldn’t get near the 9s on this one, maybe just my preference on pizza.

Only thing good about this pizza is the crust.

Great ingredients I could have went to a 8.6.

Delicious 😋 perfect crisp

Nice crisp. Love the brushed olive oil on the crust. Tomato sauce was sweet, not too sweet, but right on the border.

Had the "Mustard" and "Mergherita" pies and both rated a solid 8.6! The signature mustard coated pie is a must try just for the unique flavor experience. The tomato sauce was sweet and flavorful while the thin crust was crisp with a good enjoyable crunch! These tomato pies were on point and did not disappoint!

Phenomenal. Perfect crisp and the tomatoes on top are a game changer. Dave’s 2nd score of 8.9 is much more accurate. Don’t believe his average 8.6 score.

Great sauce and crisp

The definition of a perfect pizza. Fantastic sauce, the best cheese, and a phenomenal crust. A must try if I’ve ever seen one.

I’m a huge fan of this. I personally think it was a little low balled. But the sauce, cheese, super crispy dough. Was amazing pie and certainly well worth the praise.

The tomato pie is delicious! Love everything about it…the sauce is full of flavor, the cheese I is the perfect amount with the perfect touch of brown, and the crust was the perfect texture with the perfect amount of salt!

100% Pizza Snob here. This place is worth a 5 hour flight let alone a 2 hour drive (Dave’s criteria for an 8 is a 2 hour drive). Well I have done the Portnoy route and will bat above the average here on behalf of Pappa’s for good reason; crisp as hell, amazing moderate San Marzano sauce, FRESH dough, perfect blend and IF you get sausage it’s exceptional. Get On the plane…go.

Papa’s is delicious, crunchy crust and sauce is amazing.

Went on a whim and man o man it was delic. DAVE nailed it. Crispy, Light and Crunchy pizza...sauce and light cheese. It reminded me an old old time Philly Favorite Charlie's Pizza on the Blvd. It was Phenomenal.
