Paradise Slice Pizza Shop

Had high hopes. Ordered and got it served within 2 mins. Not a good sign. Stone cold and the sauce is just tomato paste. Hugely disappointed. Definitely not the worst around. Homeslice gets that award!

Please note this is not my photo. This is a great NY style pizza joint and one of the best I've tried outside of the Big Apple itself. Evidently the fact it is relatively unique to London draws adventurous foodies. The low scores here I think are rather unfair and can be traced back to British palettes not being accustomed to the NY style coupled with the resulting disappointment from the hype. Ask them to add Parm, fresh and low moisture mozzarella to get a more authentic taste.

Alright Frankie, not bad. Overcooked base, good sauce, not a great flop. Crust was real disappointing, gooey, seemed undercooked. It’s a 5.4

As far as New York style pizza goes in London, this is without a doubt your best bet. They use a bakers pride oven, but the pizza is still solid. Nice crisp bottom and some good flavours going on in the dough.
