Pizza Review
I’ve had pizza a few times from Pasquale’s, all of them exclusively at this location. Known for their deep dish or thicker pies, I decided to give the “thin crust” a shot. I use thin crust in quotation marks because what I received was more of a Buffalo thin crust versus NYC thin crust. On to the review! It’s unfortunate, I’ve had better from Pasquale’s but we are here to rate the present, not the past. The dough. It’s bad. Even requesting thin crust, it’s was doughy and slightly chewy. I believe the dough was a little old and too cold when preparing my pizza. I had that “cardboard” taste happening. The crust had no crunch and that could be due to the sauce almost reaching the edges. The cheese, eh. It’s not fresh and possibly not even being stored properly. After 260 reviews, you start to understand why and how the same cheese can be different from place to place. The sauce, strong garlic flavor and it wasn’t sweet. It was like they shot the sauce out of a cannon. This place uses just enough water in their sauce to keep it thick. I’m disappointed in this pizza. Staffing shortages and a lack of care is killing what could be great pizza. Avoid this place if you like pizza.
