Glad to see Patsys was finally reviewed! Let’s give Steve the score that he truly does deserves.... I so wish I could have a slice right now but I am in Florida, the pizza I grew up with! Paul La Rosa

Very Good Pizza. I had the plain but my friend who has eaten here many times said next time get the meatball pie. If you like pizza it’s a must try. Limited hours. Lunch 11-1 , dinner 5-9. You can also get a cold beer. In NJ that is rare. Enjoy!

No wow factor here. Looks and tastes like a very average, basic pizza. Look wise, it’s actually a really good looking pie. The crust is the kicker here. Zero flop. Great crunch, but also feels more like a crust with a little basic sauce and cheese.

Patsy’s Tavern was very disappointing after reading many positive reviews and listening to a lot of hype. The cheese and sauce were very good. I did not care for the old school crust. Kinchley’s serves a better bar pie!

Back to the legend. Thin crispy buttery goodness. Tangy tangy good sauce and the cheese has the bite I crave! There’s a reason I have always put this place in a pedestal and hold it in the highest regard. Entire pie gone as fast as it came out burning the life outa my mouth in almost a pleasurable way.

Seeing lots of high scores here, flooded with 9s, for this rather unique Jersey pizza. Somewhat thick with the kind of pie crust you find in deep dish style, very similar to Lou Malnati’s in Chicago. This is actually more of a “pie” pie 🥧 than bar pie; like it should be stuffed with apples and cinnamon. As far as the pizza ingredients go, the sauce tastes like watery crushed tomatoes; no zing, zip or tang...it does nothing for me. The cheese is drowning in grease, giving it an orange glow making this more like a “pumpkin pie” 🎃 than bar pie. The dough & crust have a buttery pie flavor that’s more suited for dessert than pizza. Excellent crispness overall, just not much to offer in the flavor department; some garlic & spices could help. While I appreciate the uniqueness of this pie, it’s just not my style.

The best! Garbage pie is awesome. Great undercarriage, no flop whatsoever, no grease on plate, which is extremely difficult to achieve with the garlic, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. Portnoy better get here soon

Pie is absolutely amazing. It’s a little thicker than a traditional bar pie but still on the thinner side. No flop whatsoever and the raised crust is fantastic. Tough to compare to traditional bar pies but I think this blows places Federici’s and Nancy’s out (and they both have great pies)

Actually really delicious pizza. The outside of this place would be deceiving, when you walk in it’s like a blast from the past. Really nice people here. The sauce, crust and quality of cheese is outstanding. A little thick, the only downside. Dave Portnoy should definitely try this place!!! I recommend it.

Excellent bar pie up there with the best only better bar pies so far are Pete and Elda's (9.4), Conte's (9.2) and Fedirichi's (8.9) ...Reminds me of columbia inn (8.5) but better!!! Great tangy sauce no flop with a buttery crispy crust that reminds me of pie crust super good!!! 8.8 definitely a must try travel pie but not quite on my bucket list. That's a review!!

Pretty good pizza, they've got a cool twist on the crust by cooking it in a deep dish pan. No flop, very thicc and crispy crust, minimal char, the cheese and sauce didn't wow me tho, owner was very nice.

The best pizza ever. Family run, old school, cash only, same decorations for the last 50 years. Thin crust, crispy, perfect sauce, not greasy. Great family restaurant.

Amazing flavor, unique crust. One of the best pies I’ve ever had.

The pizza, the place, the vibe...cash only of course...ice filled trough pisser...frosted mugs with full and half pitchers of domestic beer...I mean who does half pitchers anymore (or ever?). Booths occupied by the same people for 50 years and rolling...with hair that hasn’t changed either. Heavy Jean Nate’ wafting in the air. Pizza - coal fired crispy crust...sauce unique flavors (Gallo jug wine?) Take it down hot and just accept that you’ll be taking the roof of your mouth down to the bone. It’s like Chernobyl just went off in your mouth. But all worth it. Pizza is that good and unlike any other you’ve had. Doesn’t comp to anything else. Wayne Gretzky great.

Very Unique... Perfect Crisp, plenty of air bubbles that’s cooked in a deep dish style pan which gives it its crust flair!

Very unique pizza. The crust is like a crispy cracker. Cheese and sauce were middle of the road but the crust made up for it.
