Pequod's Pizza

Studly deep dish. Ate half of a large by myself.

I wasn’t as excited to try this as I was the stuffed Chicago pizza. However, much to my surprise, the caramelized crust won me over in dramatic fashion! I went to Chicago specifically for pizza, and have no particular other reason to go back. If I ever am back in the area though, I will 150% be making a stop at Pequods to treat my pallet to another slice of this incredibly made pizza; especially the crust!

Brother-in-law hyped this shit up. It’s worse than Costco pizza. Floppideeflop. Flavorless sauce. Disappointed.

Let me say this the deep dish is amazing however, the 1st time thin crust is not good. It seems like frozen dough and not fresh ingredients. Nothing wowed me about this pie. I will stick with the deep dish here moving forward.

Thin crust with Italian Beef & Giardiniera was great. The pan pizza was a disappointment from other deep dish pizza’s I have had in Chicago. Review based on thin purist pizza. I will go again next time in Chicago.

Definition of a Chicago style pizza, deep dish on point, served in piping hot pan, cheese, bread, and sauce to perfection. Would definitely recommend to any one looking for Chicago pizza.

No modifiers to deep dish except pepperoni. Lots of dough, doesn’t exactly love up to the hype IMO

It was good pizza. It’s very doughy but the sausage was amazing. The sauce was a great flavor. It definitely is a great pizza the day after.

Pan's charred crust good, and was the most interesting part. Thin crust was good. Prefer the pan.

I didn’t know this was the original location. From what I can tell, you get a better pizza consistently here than the Clybourn location. Loved it! Not overdone, great sausage, perfectly melded flavors, and a surpringly fluffier crust.

Hands down, the king of the deep dish (pan) pizza. The ingredients are freshly made and very savory. The crust, my god! The caramelized crust brings the experience to a new level. Go now, and bring your friends and loved ones!

My favorite Chicago area pizza. Everything about this is good.

Awesome caramelized crust. Good quality toppings and sufficient amount of sauce. Burt’s might have the slight edge on the crust, but Pequod’s wins all other categories.
